Teensy UFO - Free Crochet Pattern

MATERIALS:

• Grey, Green and Yellow yarn

• 3 mm hook

• Fiber-fill

• Scissors

• Keychain materials:

  • Keychain

  • Jump rings

  • Pliers

ABBREVIATIONS:

• CH - Chain

• ST(s) - Stitches

• SL ST - Slip Stitch

• RND - Round

• CC - Color Change

• SC - Single Crochet

• INC - Single Crochet Increase

• DEC - Single Crochet Decrease

• FLO - Front Loop Only

NOTES:

• If you would prefer to use the magic ring, start with 8 sts.

• Bobble Stitches - push these stitches so they bubble out.

INSTRUCTIONS:

UFO TOP:

• Starting with Green yarn, CH 4, SL ST to connect ring.

• RND 1: (INC) X4 (8 sts) - crocheting over your tail will allow you to pull your STs tighter at the end of this RND.

• RND 2: (INC) X8 (16 sts)

• RND 3: (SC 3, INC) X4 (20 sts)

• RND 4-5: SC 20 (20 sts)

• RND 6: (SC 3, DEC) X4 (16 sts)

• RND 7: CC-Grey FLO (INC) X16 (32 sts)

• RND 8: SC 32 (32 sts)

• RND 9: (SC 3, CC-Yellow, INC, CC-Grey) X8 (40 sts)

• SC 1, SL ST and tie off. Set this piece aside.

UFO BASE:

NOTE: You do not need to tie off after the CC's in this section, just carry your yarn up to the next RND.

• Starting with Green yarn, CH 4, SL ST to connect ring.

• RND 1: (INC) X4 (8 sts) - crocheting over your tail will allow you to pull your STs tighter at the end of this RND.

• RND 2: CC-Yellow (INC) X8 (16 sts)

• RND 3: CC-Green (SC, INC) X8 (24 sts)

• RND 4: CC-Yellow (SC 2, INC) X12 (32 sts)

• RND 5: CC-Green (SC 3, INC) X8 (40 sts)

• RND 6: CC-Grey HDC 40 around the edge of both the UFO TOP & UFO BASE. Add stuffing before finishing the RND. (40 sts)

• Sew in your ends.

• IF you want a keychain, attach your hardware and you're done!
