Safety eyes & back fasteners (I suggest 16-20mm)
Fiberfill

Abbreviations used:
CH - Chain
ST(s) - Stitches
SL ST - Slip Stitch
RND - Round
SC - Single Crochet
2 SC - Single Crochet Increase
BO - Bobble Stitch
SC2TOG - Single Crochet Decrease
NOTES:
If you would prefer to use the magic ring, start with 8 sts.
Bobble Stitches - push these stitches so they bubble out.
INSTRUCTIONS:
CH 4, SL ST to connect ring.
RND 1: 2 SC in each ST on the ring (8 sts) - crocheting over your tail will allow you to pull your STs tighter at the end of this RND.
RND 2: 2 SC in each st (16 sts)
RND 3: BO, (2 SC, SC) in next, repeat for remaining RND (24 sts)
RND 4: SC 12, BO, SC 11 (24 sts)
RND 5-6: SC RND (24 sts)
RND 7: SC 7, BO, SC 16 (24 sts)
RND 8-10 (3 RNDS): SC RND (24 sts)
Insert your safety eyes above the last 2 RNDs.
(LEFT: 16mm eyes RIGHT: 20mm eyes)
RND 11: BO, SC 23 (24 sts)
RND 12: SC RND (24 sts)
RND 13: SC 19, BO, SC 4 (24 sts)
RND 14: SC RND (24 sts)
RND 15: SC 7, BO, SC 16 (24 sts)
RND 16: SC RND (24 sts)
RND 17: SC 12, BO, SC 11(24 sts)
RND 18-19: SC RND (24 sts)
RND 20: BO, SC 23, (24 sts)
RND 21: SC 20, BO, SC 3 (24 sts)

RND 23: SC 10, BO, SC 13 (24 sts)

Add stuffing to the body!
RND 26: (SC 2, SC2TOG) X4, BO, SC, SC2TOG, SC 2, SC2TOG (18 sts)
RND 27: SC, SC2TOG in next, repeat for RND (12 sts)
Add more stuffing.
RND 28: SC2TOG X 6 (6 sts)
Sew the remaining STS closed and sew in your tail.

My pepe the peppermint candy cane Christmas pickle 😂😂 I didn’t have safety eyes big enough so I just crocheted some and sewed them on then added a smile because why not 😂😂 i think he turned out super cute and in case anyone wants to make theirs similar I did color changes every 4 rows until the end. I did switch back to silver at the top but only ended up doing two rows in it and you can’t tell unless you look down at it so you don’t have to do that final color change.
